UNION HALL
THANK YOU TO FIRST HARRISON BANK !!First Harrison Bank has graciously donated $20,000 to the renovation effort of the Jeffersonville Firefighters Union Hall. First Harrison Bank has also approved a $50,000 line of credit for additional funding for the renovation effort. The new partnership will enhance involvement with upcoming community activities for both the Jeffersonville Firefighter Union and First Harrison Bank. The Jeffersonville Firefighters Union Hall was a remnant of the self sufficient machine of the US Quartermaster Depot manufacturing and warehouse storage facilities. During the early 1900's, the need for government manufacturing of materials, as well as the fire protection for those materials had grown. The government built a "federal" firehouse at 700 E 11th Street in Jeffersonville to address the need for fire protection of manufactured materials located in the storage warehouses including what is now known as America's Place and Kitchen Kompact.
